Pulled out the only 5 precious prismacolor pencils I own, and set to work on this piece today, (inspired by the spread Mrs. Alba had in Latina Magazine) while listening to the Glee rendition of "One of Us".

I love Jessica Alba's sweet smile, and speaking of smiles: Operation Smile is definitely a charity I hope to benefit if/when I ever get this art fundraiser project off the ground!

Digging up the oldies

Fantastic Four's fierce Sue Storm! This was going to be a full body poster, but my middle school self ran out of motivation to finish.

I wanna say I drew this in middle school... it was a while ago.  I saw an advertisement for these little china plates with all kinds of dogs on them, so I picked my favorite at the time (Laborador Retriever!) and duplicated it in watercolor.

Leona Lewis. I drew this from the cover picture of her album "Spirit".  She has the most enchanting eyes...

This one was inspired by a photo of Jane Goodall in some old edition of Reader's Digest.    The Jane Goodall quote is from the same interview, and "Tranquility" comes from Ben Franklin's 13 virtues.

Just an idea

Hi everyone! I started this blog so I could use it as a portal to an art for charity program.  So I guess the first few posts to go up will be some of my drawing and other art/craftwork.  I'm hoping to be able to sell some of them and then, most importantly, send all the money to a charity (charities?). Eventually, I'd like to be able to take requests and make all the artwork to be sold personalized.  In the meantime though, I should probably decide what charity (charities...?) I'll be doing all this for... so... suggestions anyone?
